November 24, 1932 — February 19, 2010

Celebration of Life services will be at 10:00 am Monday, February 22 at St. Stephen United Methodist Church, West Campus, with Rev. Rich Jones, officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 pm Monday, February 22 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian by Rector Funeral Home 2800 South Osage St., Amarillo TX. Norma was born November 24, 1932 in Dundee, OK to Elmer and Nellie Phillips. She resided in Canadian for several years prior to relocating to Amarillo two years ago. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Canadian, and St. Stephen United Methodist Church, West Campus in Amarillo. Norma was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her life revolved around her family, and she cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. In spite of her dedication to her responsibilities at home, Norma still found the opportunity to enjoy western dancing at the senior citizen events, and bowling. She also enjoyed traveling around the country, and seeing new places. Her words of comfort and endless faith are a few of the many things that will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ben Bessire; her husband, Weldon L. Robinett; a son, Larry Alsdurf; and a stepson, Mark Bessire. Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda Stadler and husband David of Amarillo; 2 sons, Earl Alsdurf and wife Mary of Beaumont, and Jack Alsdurf and wife Teresa of Frisco; 7 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be to a local food bank of your choice
