Robert Nunez

Robert Nunez, 66, of Abernathy passed away on Friday May 1, 2015 in Lubbock. Memorial Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am in Saint Laurence Catholic Church with Father Antonio Galindo officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Robert was born on February 21, 1949 in Belvedere, CA to Joe and Rebecca Nunez. He grew up in La Junta, Colorado and later moved to Abernathy. He served in the US Marines and fought during the Vietnam War. He was an avid outdoors man, he loved to go camping and fishing in the Rocky Mountains. He also enjoyed listening music. Robert was a very loving father and grandfather. He always enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by: his parents, and two brothers. He is survived by: three daughters; Jessica Nunez of Amarillo, Veronica Nunez of Abernathy and Mariah Nunez of New York, two sons; James Nunez and Sammy Nunez both of Amarillo, four brothers and four sisters, and eight grandchildren.
