Aaron Blake Silva

Aaron Blake Silva, 38, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2016. Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Trinity Baptist Church with Nate McLaughlin and Joshua York officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Blake was born Nov. 10, 1978. He graduated from Caprock High School and Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering with a specialization in structures. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed global travel which was meticulously documented in numerous journals. He completed numerous structural engineering projects across the U.S. and Canada. The job he took the most pride in was teaching English and mathematics to children and young adults both here and abroad. His most recent position was as an English teacher with China Immersion in the city of Suzhou, Zhejiang Province. He was loved and will be missed and remembered. Survivors include his parents, Robert R. Silva and Sharon Ketzel Silva; a sister, Krista Silva Martin and husband Gregory Martin; a brother, Robert Brice Silva; a niece, Alexis Paige Martin; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
