Agustin Segovia Padilla

Recitation of the rosary will be at 6:00 pm Wednesday, June 30 in the Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 1 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Gomez as celebrant. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery East by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Agustin was born on May 28, 1928 in Camargo, Mexico to the late Agustin Padilla and Senonita Segovia. On January 7, 1953, he married Maria De la Paz Ortega. He was a very active Catholic starting in San Jose in Hereford and Our Lady of Guadalupe in Amarillo. He was a Lector, Communion Minister, and was a faithful Rollista in the Cursillo Movement for over 30 years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Agustin was always a hard working person, and did so most of his life as a farmhand. He moved from Hereford to Amarillo, and was employed with the City of Amarillo for over 10 years. He enjoyed spending time with his great grandchildren who adored him. We love you and will deeply miss you. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Jose Padilla. Survivors include his wife; 4 sons, Guadalupe Padilla and wife Margarita of Lamar, CO, Heriberto Padilla and wife Aurora of Amarillo, Jose Angel Padilla and wife Christina also of Amarillo, and Agustin Padilla of Pecos; 1 sister, Guadalupe Padilla; 15 grandchildren, Adam, Mona, Abram, Eva, Emily and husband Carrasco, Flor and husband Philipe, Gilbert and wife Michelle, Angela, Rodger and wife Carla, Sara, Jeremy and wife Tonya, Delilah and husband Juan, Joshua and wife Jessica, Jacob, Jonah; and 30 great grandchildren The family requests that memorials are made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Building Fund.
