Alice Hassler

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Rector Funeral Home with the Rev. Jed Humphrey, minister of worship at South Georgia Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Alice was born Nov. 25, 1943, in Pampa to David F. and Minnie Mae Tice. She married Jim Hassler Dec. 14, 1961, in Pampa. Mrs. Hassler was a child care provider for several years she was a member of the Bowling Association for many years and enjoyed bowling every week. Alice is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Woodrow, Bennie and Milton Tice; and two sisters, Gladys Griffin and Lorene Tice. Survivors include her husband, Jim; two sons, Lewis and wife Diane and J.D. and wife Diane, all of Amarillo; a daughter, Sonia of Madisonville, La.; three grandchildren, Eric Benson, and Josh and Lesli Hassler; a special child, Ashley Norton of Amarillo; a brother, Ralph Tice and wife Barbara of Skellytown; a sister, Pauline Ware of Amarillo; a special and lifelong friend, Wanda Fern Wright of Pampa; many family and friends; and a host of special children, that she kept all those years, she loved everyone of them.
