Allen "Moore" Langley 84, of Amarillo died Friday, August 27, 2021 in Amarillo. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation was by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Moore was born on June 13, 1937 in Beckville to Coburn and Mary Lou (Allen) Langley. He lived in Amarillo in the 1950's when he was hired to work on the Alaskan Pipeline Project. He returned to Amarillo more than 10 years ago from Henderson, NV. Moore lived most of his adult life in Kenai, AK. While working on the Alaskan Pipeline, he traveled the United States. A former co-worker said that Moore was one of the best side boom operators in the US, from the frontend to the backend. He would shine, anywhere you put him. Moore was a born again Christian. He was always helping others in any way he could. He was soft spoken and very generous. He loved donating funds to various organizations. He was an avid hockey and rodeo fan and served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, His wife Mona Raye Langley and his son in law Robby Mulherin. He is survived by his daughter, Judy Jo Mulherin; two granddaughters, Heather Wheeler and Autumn Allen and three great-grandchildren, Josh Gabriel, Reagan LaVigne and Isaac Galvin. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Goodlife Senior Living and Memory Care for the love and compassion they have shown.
