Andres "Andy" Navarrete

Andres “Andy” Navarrete, 52, of Amarillo, TX, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025.

Viewing will be from 12:00-5:00 PM, Sunday, December 28, 2025, and family will receive friends between 2:00-3:00 PM at Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 29, 2025, in Rector Funeral Home Pioneer Chapel. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home.

Andy was born on August 17, 1973, in Amarillo to Alberto Navarrete and Cornelia Martinez. He grew up in Amarillo and attended Bowie Junior High and Caprock High School.

He worked as an independent contractor bricklayer for many years and worked for the City of Amarillo. Andy loved to play pool, ride Harley’s, and gamble. He was always making everyone laugh and had a joke about everything. We never knew when he was serious or not.

Andy was preceded in death by his father, Alberto Navarrete; and his best friend, Bentley Wayne.

He is survived by his companion, Wittney Burton of Amarillo; his mother, Cornelia Navarrete of Amarillo; his sons, Nathon Navarrete and Jaydon Navarrete; a stepson, Kypton Pando all of Amarillo; his brothers, Johnny Martinez and wife Minnie of Arlington, TX, Albert Navarrete and wife Michelle of San Antonio, TX, and Abel “Bobo” Navarrete and wife Tammy of Amarillo; and a sister, Virginia Hodge and husband Stephon of Mansfield, TX.
