Angelina Fuentes Hernandez

Angelina (Fuentes) Hernandez 77, of Amarillo died Monday, April 9, 2018 in Amarillo. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Friday, April 13, 2018 at St. Martin de Porres Church with celebrant, Msgr. Rex Nicholl officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Hernandez was born on April, 27, 1940 in Amarillo. She worked at High Plains Baptist Hospital as a physical therapist for many years. After leaving the hospital, she worked as a home health caretaker. Mrs. Hernandez loved helping others. She enjoyed cooking and caring for those less fortunate than herself. She was a faithful and dedicated member of St. Martin Church. She loved her church family and loved serving. She married Felix Hernandez on Feb. 4, 1956 in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007 and a daughter, Rhonda Hernandez in 1962. She is survived by her son, Jackie Hernandez of Amarillo; her daughter Beverley Ynojosa and her husband Pete of Amarillo; one brother, Gabriel Fuentes of Amarillo; one sister, Gloria Martinez and her husband Soylo of Amarillo; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Memorial donations may be sent to St. Martin Church, 1507 N. Adams St. Amarillo, TX 79107.
