Anita Lois Witherspoon

Anita Lois Witherspoon 78 of Amarillo died Tuesday June 23, 2015 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Gil Hiltbrunner of Jeremiah 33:3 Ministries officiating. Mrs. Witherspoon was born on July 12, 1936 in Marion OH. She lived in Amarillo most of her life. She was a registered nurse and had worked at the Amarillo hospitals. She also taught nursing at Amarillo college for many years. She retired in 2001 as the Director of Nurses at Bivins Nursing Home. Mrs. Witherspoon was caring and compassionate. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading and painting. She marries James Bo Witherspoon in Las Vegas. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri Dollar Duncan, a sister, Artis Davis and a brother Bill Brewer. She is survived by her husband, 2 sons, Randy Dollar and his wife Anne of Missoula, MT and Craig Dollar of Bloomington, NM and 5 grandchildren, Matthew, John, Champ, Jeffrey and Ashley. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation can be made to a favorite charity.
