Anna Contreras

Anna Contreras, 41, of Amarillo, died Sunday at Northwest Texas Hospital. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Rector Funeral Home Chapel with Alvino Alvarez, pastor of Word of Faith Ministries officiating. Private family interment will be at Llano East Cemetery. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage Street. Ms. Contreras was born in Eagle Pass, Texas. She lived in Amarillo most of her life. She graduated from Amarillo College with an Associates Degree in 2000. She was employed at Dr. Alfredo Condes office where she did clerical work. She was preceded in death by her father, Sylvester Almanza in 1972, and by a brother, Sylvester Almanza in 1994. Survivors include: 2 sons, Thomas Christopher Contreras and Nicholas Perez, both of Amarillo; her mother, San Juana Almanza of Amarillo; 1 sister, Alma Granadas of Amarillo; and 3 brothers, Manuel Almanza, Val Almanza, and Javier Almanza, all of Amarillo.
