Anna Marie Garibay

Anna Marie Garibay 55, of Amarillo died Wednesday, April 13, 2016 in Lubbock. Celebration of Life Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Scott Hampton, pastor of Elevate Church and Roy Garibay officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Anna was born on October 26, 1960 in Tulia to Bacilio and Jovita Contreras. She moved to Amarillo after graduating from Tulia High School. She attended Texas State Technical Institute in Amarillo. Anna was a very loving and caring person. She was great at customer relations. She worked at the Coalition of Health Services and Scottco for many years. Anna was also very creative. She enjoyed helping her family and friends with planning and decorating for many events. She was a member of Elevate Church. Anna married the love of her life, Rodolfo "Rudy" Garibay on November 22, 1986 in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. Survivors include her husband; one son, Richard Contreras of Amarillo; one daughter, Adriana Langston and her husband Aaron of Amarillo; one brother, David Contreras of Amarillo; one sister, Helen Calloway of Meade, Kansas; and three special grandchildren, Jovianna Garibay, Felicity Garibay and Jonas Langston. Viewing will be from 12:30 PM - 7:00 PM Sunday and from 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home. The family requests memorial donations to Elevate Church, 2700 S. Hill, Amarillo, Texas 79103.
