Anna Mae Staley

December 4, 1931 — July 21, 2006

Anna Mae Staley, 74 of Amarillo died Friday July 21, 2006 at Amarillo. Services were at 11:00 AM Monday at Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel with Jerry Coffman, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church officiating and Don Woolsey eulogist. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter. Mrs. Staley was born in Dodge City, KS to Sherm and Gladys Stillwell. She moved to Amarillo in June of 1969 from Garden City, KS. While in Kansas, she worked as a proof reader for the Garden City Telegram. After moving to Amarillo, she worked as a homemaker and a photographer taking photos of newborns at Northwest Texas Hospital. She was very giving and loved helping others, especially children and the elderly. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed drawing. Mrs. Staley loved the Lord, and was a devoted, loving and faithful wife, mother and grandmother. She married Duane Staley on June 10, 1949 at Garden City. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her sister Juanita Kells of Garden City, KS Survivors include: her husband of the home, 3 daughters; Linda Spangler of Windsor, CO, Kendra Reeves and her husband Mike and Susan Woolsey and her husband Don all of Amarillo, 3 sisters; Frances Norris of Garden City, KS, Laura Meier of Hayes, KS and Donna Ritch of Fort Collins, CO, 1 brother; Maynard Stillwell of Lake George, Co, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorial donation be to Care Net Crisis Pregnancy Center PO Box 50342 Amarillo, Texas 79159-0342
