Annie L. Phipps 101, died Saturday, December 28, 2013 in Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Randy Srader, pastor of God of Wonders Fellowship officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Annie was born on April 4, 1912 at the Estacado Community near Ralls to Butler and Grace Adams. Annie was a very special person to her family. She left school in the 11th grade to care for her siblings. She was the second oldest of 9 children. Annie was a member of the Church at Quail Creek and loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Delbert Phipps, her parents, 5 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by one son, D.L. Phipps and wife Grace of Tulsa, OK; 2 daughters, Betty Casey of Amarillo and Helen McCauley of Lubbock; 5 grandchildren, David Phipps and wife Georgia, Scott Casey and wife Denise, Debra Berger and husband Dan, Ruth Ann Surface and husband Mark, Christal Moore and husband Joel; 5 great-grandchildren, Chad Trumble and wife Sara, Jeff Trumble and wife Elizabeth, Marcus Casey, Natalie Casey and Sydney Casey; 4 great-great-grandchildren, Tucker and Meghan Trumble and Adalyn and Brynlee Trumble and a special nephew and niece, Chris and Christie Adams. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of IntegraCare Hospice for the special care they provided.
