April J. Small, 54, of Amarillo, Died Wednesday, June 5, 2019. Memorial Service will be Friday June 7, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor Nate Magloughlin officiating. Burial will be at llano cemetery following the service. Arrangements made by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. April was a member and faithful attender of Trinity Baptist Church. She was born July 23, 1964 in Amarillo. April was a competitive swimmer at Tascosa High School and graduated in 1982. Shortly after graduating high school she completed cosmetology school. She also volunteered at Perkins Community Center and enjoyed attending weekly devotionals with her volunteer community. April accepted Christ at the age of 6 and was baptized by her father. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and grandmother. Spending quality time with her family, especially playing games, brought her the greatest joy in life. April is survived by her son and daughter in law, Andrew and Megan Striley, and her grandson, Zander Striley, whom April referred to as "my Zander". Her mother Eulalia Small, father Don Small, brother Alan Small and wife Rachelle, brother David Small and wife Kirsten, brother Kevin Small, sister Crystal Ussery and husband Joebob Ussery, and 8 nieces and nephews.
