Argie B. Burns

Argie B. Burns, 86 of Amarillo, died Saturday, October 15, 2005 in Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Rector Funeral Home, Coulter Chapel, with Rev. Robert Field, retired Baptist minister officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter. Mrs. Burns was born in Oklahoma. She moved to Borger in the late 1920's and then to Amarillo in the mid 1990's. She married Cliff Burns in 1959. He preceded her in death in 1999. She was a homemaker and loved music of all kinds. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by a son Scott Niell, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers. Survivors include: 1 daughter, Donna Kay Kelley of Pearlington, MS; 1 son, Robert Burns of Arlington, TX; 1 brother, Truel Stimpson of La Jolla, CA; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Viewing will be from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday, and from 8:30 to Noon on Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Ware Memorial Care Center, 1300 S. Harrison, Amarillo, TX 79101.
