Armando R. Esparza

Armando R. Esparza 69, of Amarillo died Saturday, December 5, 2020 in Amarillo. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Wednesday with Deacon Andy Gonzales officiating. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Gomez, celebrant officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Esparza was born in Torreon, Mexico. He moved to Amarillo in 1979 from Juarez. He was a dedicated member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He served as a deacon for more than 10 years. After moving to Amarillo, Mr. Esparza worked as a machinist for Chrome Machine and Casting. He was a faithful employee for 41 years. He married Maria Garcia on March 3, 1977 in Juarez. She preceded him in death in June. He was also preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Oscar Esparza, Jr., three brothers and a sister. Mr. Esparza was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his daughter, Rosa Carrasco and her husband Javier; three sons, Joe Esparza, Oscar Esparza, Sr. and Daniel Esparza and his wife Isabel; one sister Irma Esparza; two brothers, Gilberto Esparza and Raul Esparza; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. The family requests memorial donations be to the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Building Fund.
