Arturo Montenegro Sr.

Arturo Montenegro Sr., died Saturday, May 21, 2022. Mass of a Christian Burial is 2:00 pm Friday, May 27, 2022, at St. Laurance Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Haider Quintero. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests Wednesday 6-8 pm and the rosary will be 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Arturo was born in Juarez, Mexico November 17, 1959, to Ranulfo and Juana Montenegro. Arturo moved to the United States in 1974. He met the love of his life, Evangelina, through siblings. They got married on November 25, 1985. He was very selfless and humble. He worked hard and was an excellent provider for his family. Arturo enjoyed family gatherings, cookouts, and cherished spending time with his grandchildren. His grandchildren loved him. He was very proud of his family. Arturo was a very hard worker. There was no job too big. He was very good with his hands. He fixed all of his familys washer machines and worked on their houses. He could fix anything. Arturo was preceded in death by his father, Ranulfo Montenegro, one sister, Guadalupe Ibarra, and one brother, Roberto Montenegro. He is survived by his mother, Juana Montenegro, his wife, Evangelina Montenegro, five daughters; Sylvia Montenegro and her husband Benjamin Vasquez, Nancy Montenegro and her husband Jesus Pando, Maggie Samaniego and her husband Daniel, Karina Montenegro and her husband Oscar Islas, and Elizabeth Montenegro and her husband Jacob Mendoza, one son, Arturo Montenegro Jr., 13 grandchildren, and one great- grandchild on the way, four sisters; Rosa Nunez, Gloria Ramirez, Maria Mendoza, and Magdalena Alvarez, five brothers; Rosendo Montenegro, Ranulfo Montenegro Jr., Carlos Montenegro, Jose Montenegro, and Daniel Montenegro.
