A.T. Bryant

A.T. Bryant, 91 of Amarillo died Thursday, September 11, 2003. Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 pm at Paramount Baptist Church, with F.M. Byford, retired Baptist minister officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage, Amarillo, TX 79103. Mr. Bryant was born in Gorman, TX. He married Edna Straughan in 1939 at Big Spring. He moved to Amarillo in 1959 from Dalhart, where he had served as Music and Education Director at First Baptist Church of Dalhart. After moving to Amarillo, he was the Music and Education Director at Avondale Baptist Church for 3 years. After retiring in 1964, he worked as a delivery man for Rattan Cleaners. Mr. Bryant was a member of Paramount Baptist Church, having served as the director of the Senior Adult Sunday School Department for 23 years. Survivors include: his wife of the home; 1 daughter, Nancy Pamplin of Lawton, Oklahoma; 1 son, Wayne Bryant of Amarillo; 1 brother, Weldon Bryant of Big Spring; 2 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
