Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at the First Baptist Church of White Deer with Rev. John Collis, pastor officiating. Interment will be at the White Deer Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St., Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Hughes was born in Canyon. She moved to White Deer in 1992 from Pampa. She worked as a seamstress most of her life and was a member of the First Baptist Church in White Deer. She married Howard D. Hughes in 1978 at Pampa. Survivors include her husband of the home, 2 daughters; LaNell Painter of Edmonson, and Laquita Craig of White Deer, 2 sons; Lynn Stark of Tulia and Lee Stark of White Deer, her mother; Myrtie Formway of Amarillo, 2 brothers; Albert Formway of Cheyenne, OK and Jim Formway of Clarendon, 2 sisters; Nadene Naylor of Dyersburg, TN and Laveta Peters of Amarillo and 9 grandchildren. The family requests memorial donation be to Olivias Angels c/o BSA Hospice and Life Enrichment Center or the First Baptist Church of White Deer.
