A.W. Kimbrel

A.W. Kimbrel 86, formerly of Amarillo died Monday, February 25, 2013 in Fort Worth. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Kimbrel was born in Dodge City, KS. He moved to Amarillo in 1961 from Muleshoe. He served in the Navy during WWII. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Mr. Kimbrel worked for Shell Oil as an operations manager for services stations. He enjoyed bowling and playing golf. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha in 1997. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers. Mr. Kimbrel is survived by his wife Debra of Fort Worth; one daughter, Beth Kimberlin of Edmond, OK; two granddaughters, Laura Merrill and her husband Chris of Edmond, OK and Stacy Muoz and her husband Robert of San Antonio and 4 great grandchildren. The family requests memorial donations be to the American Lung Association.
