October 19, 1940 — September 13, 2023

Barbara Adams, 82, of Amarillo, passed away Sep 13, 2023, following a 7-week courageous battle with her health. There will be a celebration of her life and send off on Friday, Sep 15th at 11 AM at the Trinity Fellowship Student Ministry Center officiated by Pastor Kyle Wilkinson. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage. As a part of the celebration, the family is asking that you wear your brightest colors and matching chunky jewelry! Barbara loved her bright colors Barbara was born to Maude and Oliver Jackson, in Hart, TX on Oct 19, 1940. Barbara has been a long-time resident of Amarillo, Texas. She worked for the family business for years as a bookkeeper and then for 25+ years as a Real Estate agent in Amarillo. She worked with Connie Stark Realtors for most of those years. She loved selling houses and had a real knack for helping people find their dream house. She had many repeat clients throughout her years in real estate. She was also a long-time member at Trinity Fellowship Church, her true love and passion! She loved being a greeter for the TFC Sunday morning early service for many years, she took her 3-wheel walker and trucked all up, down and around the aisles greeting and welcoming any and everyone to her "happy place", Trinity. Additionally, she loved her life group from TFC. The original life group nicknamed her Mother of Wisdom of the Bible! She loved nothing better than spending time surrounded by her friends praising and celebrating Jesus! As all the women who came to visit her in the hospital and later in hospice at the house, shared with us. She was a strong and faithful believer until the end and now she is rejoicing, singing and praising the lord in heaven! She was proceeded in death by her three sisters, Irene Cox, Jean Olson, and Gladys Stone. And her son, David Nolen. She is survived by her husband of 59 years and 11 months C.D. Adams, her daughter Tracy Thornlow and son Jeff Adams. She has 3 granddaughters, Brittney Bergeron (William Bergeron), Jordan and McKenna Thornlow, and one grandson, Tyler Adams and two great-granddaughters Nevaeh and Graclyn Bergeron.
