Barbara Finstad

A graveside service will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, August 16 at Llano Cemetery with Ken Cole of St. Stephen United Methodist Church, officiating. Inurnment will be in the Llano Cemetery Garden Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Barbara was born on December 11, 1932 in Waco, and has been a resident of Amarillo for the past 28 years. Barbara enjoyed crossword puzzles, and never missed watching a game show if it was possible. She also took interest in collecting various owls and dolls. Her strong will and compassionate heart were the foundation of her character. She was always willing to care for others, and welcomed all that were in need into her home. She loved her family, and especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include 2 sons, Ray C. Finstad Jr. of Illinois, and Doyle G. Finstad of Altus, OK; 2 daughters, Donna F. Ireland and Jackie L. Bledsoe both of Amarillo; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
