Beatrice Marez “Froggy Nana” Herrnandez

Beatrice Marez “Froggy Nana” Herrnandez, 71, of Amarillo, died on Saturday, August 15, 2026. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Rector Pioneer Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home.

Beatrice was born on July 13, 1955, in Amarillo, Texas to Reymundo and Ruth Marez. She grew up in Amarillo and worked at United Market Street as a sacker. She also worked at Fuller and Sons Construction. She loved to ride motorcycles, sew, seek and find books, coloring books, and collect frogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Bridgett Jordan.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse Herrnandez; a daughter, Elizabeth Cavazos and husband Robert of Amarillo; a son, Dominic Rodriguez and wife Lisa Elizondo of Amarillo; five stepsons, Bobby Nieto of Houston, Victor Herrnandez of Earth, Vincent Herrnandez and wife Maria of Anson, Austin Herrnandez of Plainview and Juan Herrnandez of Amarillo; a sister, Benita Perez of Brownfield; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
