Benito Tristan

Benito Tristan 87, of Amarillo died Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2:00 Friday, October 27, 2017 in Llano East Cemetery with Terry Callis, retired Army chaplain officiating. Military Honors will be by Volleys for Veterans. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Benito was born in Altair. He lived in Amarillo and Lubbock most of his life. He worked in bridge maintenance and construction for many years. After retiring, Benito worked at Furr's Cafeteria, where he made many friends. He married Dominga Lopez on Aug. 29, 1983 in Lubbock. Benito is survived by three sons, Benny Tristan of The Colony, Benito Tristan, Jr. and Arturo Tristan both of Houston; two daughters, Yolanda Tristan of Houston and Sofia Rinehart of Amarillo as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
