Benny L. Jameson

Benny L. Jameson, 56 of Amarillo died Monday February 3, 2003 at Amarillo. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. David Evans, pastor officiating. Interment will be at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Jameson was born in Lebanon, Missouri. He moved to Amarillo with the US Air Force in 1965, before serving a tour in Viet Nam from 1966-1967. He was then stationed at McConnell AFB in Wichita, KS. He was honorably discharged from the USAF in 1968. He worked as an electrician and did remodeling for 5 years. He worked in sales for 15 years. He was most recently self-employed as a tax accountant and financial planner. He married Rita Tredway in 1966 at Amarillo. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen Jameson in November, 2002. Survivors include his wife of the home; 1 daughter, Tammy Brock and her husband, Mike of Amarillo; his mother, Gladys Jameson of Willard, MO; 3 granddaughters, Jessica Brock, Elizabeth Brock, and Rebecca Brock, all of Amarillo; 2 grandsons, James Brock and Andrew Jameson, both of Amarillo; 2 sisters, Nancy Hall of Camdenton, MO, and Marie Graham of Ash Grove, MO; 3 brothers, William Jameson of Willard, MO, Spencer Jameson of Ash Grove, MO, and Richard Jameson of Clemmons, NC.
