Bernice Pearl Willingham Austin, 94, of Amarillo passed away on Sunday May 10, 2015 in Idalou, Texas. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with David Willingham of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Olathe, KS officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel Bernice moved to Amarillo with her husband Harrel Willingham and three children in 1952 and lived there until 2010 when she moved to Lubbock, Texas and lived at Grand Court Independent Living Facility until October of 2014 when she moved to the assisted living facility Library of Legacies in Idalou, Texas where she lived until her death. Bernice was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved the Lord and spent her life living the life she felt would honor his name. She lived a wonderful and blessed life. She loved her children and adored her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She also loved her very, very large family with all her heart. Bernice was an accomplished seamstress, worked at Fedway Dept Store and Sears Roebuck Company in the alterations departments, Palo Duro High School Cafeteria and, attended Immanuel Baptist Church and Anna Street Church of Christ both in Amarillo. She was preceded in death by her parents, 11 brothers and sisters, husband, Benjamin Harrel Willingham, granddaughter, Kalyn Louise Willingham and husbands Ace Holmes and Fred Austin, Sr. She is survived by three children: Connie A (Wise) and Eddie Bilderback of Wilson, Texas, Linda R. and Billy Crowell of Florence, Arizona and Micheal H. and Lisa Willingham of Mcloud, Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren Cary Deral and Zhenya Wise of Fairbanks, Alaska, JonAlan and Chrissie Wise, and Stacy (Wise) and Donald Thomas all of Anchorage, Alaska, Bart and Tracey Willingham, Arlington, Texas, David and Kristen Willingham of Gardener, Kansas and Patrick and Crystal Willingham of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In addition, she is survived by 13 great grandchildren, and 2 great great granddaughters, many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00pm to 8:00pm on Thursday.
