Bernice Golightly

Bernice Golightly, 84 of Amarillo died Friday July 11, 2008 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Central Church of Christ Chapel Jason Love officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Miss Golightly was born in Henryetta, OK. She lived in Amarillo most of her life. She worked as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone. She retired after more than 35 years of service. Miss Golightly was a member of Central Church of Christ and the Pioneers Club. Survivors include 2 sisters, Jean Finley of Kalamazoo, MI, and Mary Murray of Amarillo; 1 brother, John W. Golightly of Frisco and many nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorial donations be to the Northwest Branch of the Amarillo Public Library.
