Betty Jo Allison

Betty Jo Allison 79, of Amarillo died Friday November 7, 2008 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Allison was born on a farm in rural Fannin County. She lived in Amarillo most of her life. She was a homemaker and a devout Christian. She loved singing gospel music and going to church She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Allison. Survivors include 2 daughters, Delores Ross and her husband John and Brenda Fraley all of Amarillo, and Barbara Bell and her husband Mike of Briscoe; 2 brothers, James Darst of Arlington and Alton Darst of Phoenix, AZ; 3 sisters, Geraldine Hamblen of Happy, Bonnie Wharton of Odessa and Peggy Hill of Manchaca; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
