Betty Ann Jobe Burleson

Betty Ann Jobe Burleson, 71, of Amarillo died Thursday September 6, 2007at Amarillo. Life Celebration will be at 11:00 am Monday, September 10, at the Cowboy Church at S. Washington and Loop 335, with Ty Jones, pastor officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel at 8310 S. Coulter St. Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Burleson chose to donate her body to Texas Tech School of Medicine in Lubbock. There will be no viewing. Mrs. Burleson was born and raised in Amarillo. She was a homemaker. She married John W. Johnson in 1952. They were divorced in 1969, and he died in 1983. She married Dale Duane Burleson in 1970. They lived in Burnet, Texas for about 10 years. He preceded her in death in 1991. She was a member of Cowboy Church. Mrs. Burleson was a loving mother who sacrificed everything for her family and her kids. She lived by John 3:16 and by Romans 10:9-10. She loved the Lord and loved life. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Anna Kay Burdick in 2005. Survivors include: 1 daughter, Cynthia Ann Johnson of Denton; 2 sons, John L. Johnson of Denton, and Gary L. Johnson of Trinidad, CO; 1 sister, Shirley Forrest of Lubbock; 3 brothers, Leroy Jobe, Buford Jobe, and Ricky Jobe, all of Amarillo; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Odyssey Healthcare at 6900 I-40 W, Ste 150, Amarillo, TX 79106.
