Betty Jo Furhmann

Mrs. Furhmann was born in Randall County. She lived in the Texas panhandle most of her life. She worked at various jobs for the U.S. government. She retired from medical records at Northwest Texas Healthcare System. She married Paul Furhmann in 1969. He preceded her in death on December 17, 2011. She and Paul loved animals. They enjoyed rescuing homeless animals. Mr. and Mrs. Furhmann were very kind and generous people. Mrs. Furhmann is survived by an aunt, Anita Hammitt of Amarillo; an uncle Raymond Goodrich of Santa Cruz, CA; a niece, Jerry Allsup and her husband Rick of Amarillo; 2 nephews, Dana Velebil and his wife Holly McSmith of Amarillo and Roy Thurston of San Antonio and numerous other family members. The family requests memorial donations to the ASPCA.
