Betty Lorraine Ham

Betty Ham, 89 formerly of Amarillo, passed away peacefully September 19, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. Graveside service will be held at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. Betty was born in Lawrence Kansas, April 17, 1923. She is preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Rena Barnes; her husband Earl Ham, and her brothers; Ralph and Gerald Barnes. Betty married Earl Ham January 26, 1946. They were together more than fifty years until his passing in 1996. She worked at Sears for more than 30 years. She was a devoted daughter, wife, sister, mother and friend. She fought a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease for nine years . Betty is survived by her brother Guy Barnes; her daughter Linda Ham of Dallas, TX and Linda's daughter; Jennifer Looney; her son David Ham and wife Lola of Arlington, TX; and their daughters; Emily Johnson and Natalie Moretz, and two great grandchildren; Austin and Kaylee Johnson.
