Betty Lou Schank

Betty Lou Mason-Schank 83, of Amarillo died Monday, Nov. 8, 2021. Services will be at 11 am Friday at First Baptist Church Chapel with Corky Holland, minister of pastoral care to senior adults officiating. Private family interment will be at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Betty was born in Brownfield and graduated from Amarillo High School in 1956. She worked as a bookkeeper for the City of Amarillo and a secretary for Highland Park ISD and retired from Mueller Inc. She married Donald J. Mason, Sr. on Oct. 4, 1955. He preceded her in death in1991. Betty was also preceded in death by her second husband, George Schank in 2007. Betty was a faithful member of First Baptist Church and the 50th AHS Alumni Association. She loved to travel and was very supportive of her grandchildren's activities and sports. Betty was a very giving person and loved helping others. She is survived by two daughters, Carol Hill and her husband Len and Tracie Mason all of Amarillo; three sons, Donald J. Mason, Jr., of Marble Falls and Jerry Mason and his wife Kescia and David Ray Mason of Amarillo.; her brother, Bill Voshalike of La Grange; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
