Beulah June Wheeler

Beulah ""June"" Wheeler , 90, Peacefully passed away Monday, August 10, 2009 in Amarillo. Services will be at 10:00AM Thursday in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Rev. Max Brown of Arden Road Christian Church officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00PM in Miami Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. June was born July 13, 1919, in Canadian Texas to Fred and Eva Hardage. She married Dow Wheeler on December 13, 1936 in Arnett, Oklahoma. June was a homemaker and loved teaching ceramics. She wrote and published an instructional book about ceramics. June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and friend to all. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, two brothers, and three grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Billy Dow Wheeler and wife Shirley; Joyce Elliott and husband Carmen; Tommie Wheeler and wife JoAnne; Ben Wheeler and wife Cindy; Jerry Wheeler and wife Valjean, Eva Creacy and husband Lank, Sarah Cox; Rick Wheeler and wife Piata; several grandchildren; great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. One brother Ronnie Hardage. Family survivors also include Verna Hutchens, Virginia Frazier, Mary Choate and a sister in law Joyce Hardage. The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, 600 N. Tyler, Amarillo Texas 79107 The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00PM to 7:00PM .
