Beverly Maye Shields

Beverly Maye Shields 85 of 1212 S. Rusk died Tuesday June 25, 2002 at Crown of Texas Hospice Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Rector Funeral Home Chapel with Bob Thomas, chaplain of Crown of Texas Hospice officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage Street. Mrs. Shields was born in Bozeman, Montana. She was raised in Sioux Falls, SD. She moved to Amarillo in 1984 from Jonesville, Mich. Mrs. Shields worked as a nurse for more than 30 years. She married Howard Pulling in 1941. He died in 1947. She married Kenneth Shields in 1951 at Angola, Ind. He died in 1983. Survivors include: her daughter Barbara Wainwright and her husband Colin of Amarillo, her son Jack Pulling and his wife Sue of Salisbury, MD, a step-son, Dale Shields and his wife Nancy of Hillsdale, Mich. and 5 grandchildren. The family requests memorial donations to Jan Werner Adult Day Care or Crown of Texas Hospice.
