Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, February 6, 2002 in Rector Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Field, retired Baptist minister, officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St., Amarillo, Texas.
Mr. Collins was born in Dalhart, Texas. He served in the U. S. Navy during WW2.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Collins in 1998.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Nicky and Brian Hamilton of Amarillo; 1 son, Joel Collins and wife Glenna of Mission, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Collins of Amarillo; 1 sister, Betty Shuler of Amarillo; 1 brother, Forrest Collins of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
