Billie Fay Barfield

Billie Fay Barfield, 88 of Amarillo, passed away peacefully December 5, 2012 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at Paramount Baptist Church in Amarillo, Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. with David Preston officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Billie was born in Love County Oklahoma, to William and Amber Sanders on December 10, 1923. She married William Barfield April 1,1943 in Altus, Oklahoma. They were together for fifty years until his passing in 1993. Billie was the head cashier at Furrs Cafeteria in Wolflin Village for over 44 years. She was devoted to her family and friends. She was gifted with a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. Billie loved to dig in the dirt, in her Garden. She was a member of Forest Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by: Her husband William Barfield; three brothers, Clinton, Allen Troy and Eddie Sanders; sisters, Muriel Fincher, and Jean Hedrick. Billie is survived by: One son, Jimmy Barfield and wife Sheila; One daughter Carolyn Kidd and Husband Gene; three grandsons, Mark Kidd and wife Christy, Derek Barfield and wife Kathy and Ty Barfield; great grandchildren, Berkeley, Brailen, and Kai Barfield; three brothers, J.L., Eldon and James Sanders; two sisters, Jessie Orr and Pauline Hoyler.
