Billy Eugene Giles, 71, of Amarillo died Tuesday, November 9, 2021. No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangments and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Billy Eugene Giles was born in Amarillo on July 7, 1950, to Ira Lloyd "Bill" and Irene Cadmus Giles. He was one of four brothers; Randy, Bryan, Billy, and Kim Giles, and half-brother Paul Linde. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1968. He was a wrestler for the A-team. He was an avid music lover, often playing in a band as a drummer and singer in the late 60s. Billy joined the Army Reserves in 1970, during the Vietnam War. He served six years. He met Gerra Renee Payne while he was in the reserves. They married in January 1971. They had four children during their 12year marriage; Eric Giles, Julie Giles Kempf, Joshua Giles, and Sara Giles. Mr. Giles worked for various construction companies driving trucks. He loved traveling to the mountains, fishing, camping, and visiting family. He loved being around his family and friends, and the Dallas Cowboys. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Randy and Bryan Giles, and one niece, Michelle Holt. He is survived by his brother Kim Giles and his wife Linda, Brother Paul Linde and his wife Marcia, his children; Eric Giles, Julie Kempf, Joshua Giles and his wife, Jennifer, and Sara Giles, his beloved grandchildren; Dustin and Mari Kempf, Joey and Jessie Kempf, Caitlyn and Remington Escamilla, Kaiden Williams and Glory Bostock, Meghan Kempf, Ty Baker, Keely Ledbetter, Avery Giles, Marlee Giles, Maggie May Giles, and Bryce Giles, his precious great-grandchildren; Brittain, Mia, and Olivia Kempf, and Sevi Rae Escamilla, his much-loved nieces, and nephews; Michele Griffin and family, Scott and Stacey Giles and family, Arron Crandall and Adam Nunn and Family, Lailani and Randall Hetzel and family, Michael and Cheyenne Payne, Eugene Payne, Gage Giles and family, Jacob Holt, Ashley Linde and family, extended family members that he loved; Robert and Michiko Payne, Carson Payne, Brenda, and Dale Rogers, his loved friends; Larry Wagner, Steve and Lynette Billington, Billy Osborne, Eugene Higdon, and Eddie Higdon.
