Services will be 3:00 PM Monday at Southeast Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Field, retired Baptist minister and Chuck Neal, pastor of Southeast Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St., Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Stimpson was born in Electra. He lived in Amarillo 47 years. He was an Army Veteran. He worked as a pipefitter for 50 years and was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #196. He married Lenora Taylor in 1952 at Tucumcari and was a member of Southeast Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of the home, 5 daughters; Debbie Stimpson Pettit, Kay Moorman, Karen Chadwick and Carla Allen all of Amarillo and Gail Ward of Wichita Falls, 2 sons; David Stimpson of Amarillo and Terry Stimpson of Garden City, KS, 1 sister; Argie Burns of Amarillo, 2 brothers; Truel Stimpson of LaJolla, CA and Scott Stimpson of Prescott Valley, AZ, 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorial donations to Faith City Mission or Olivia's Angels c/o BSA Hospice and Life Enrichment Center.
