B.J. Scott

B.J. Scott 83, of Amarillo died Monday March 4, 2013 in Amarillo. Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday at Bolton Street Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Green, pastor officiating. Interment will be in llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Scott was born in Quail. He moved to Amarillo in 1950 from Wellington. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 41 years. He retired in 1993. He was a member of Bolton Street Baptist Church. Mr. Scott married the love of his life, Melba Delores Buster in 1950 in Amarillo. She preceded him in death on October 21, 1999. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived three sons, James Scott of Canyon, Jerry Scott of Wilson, OK and Russell Scott and his wife Susan of Amarillo; one brother, Mid Scott of Amarillo; one sister, Ruth Archer of Clovis, CA., 5 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
