Bobby Hernandez

Bobby Hernandez, 85, of Amarillo died Saturday, June 11, 2022, in the comfort of his home. Funeral Service is Saturday, June 18, at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel officiated by Deacon Andy Gonzales. Arrangements and Cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests for visitation Thursday 6-8 pm, Rosary is Friday 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Bobby was born in Amarillo on January 31, 1937, to Thomas and Margaret Hernandez. Bobby married the love of his life, Helen on October 16, 1955. He treated everyone like family. He was a smooth talker and knew just about everyone. He would take food to the bank and his grandchildrens school in appreciation. Bobby never missed a family event. He went to all of the grandchildrens sporting events. Bobby was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, loved country dance, and enjoyed listening to Elvis or George Jones. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Bobby Ray Hernandez, and one daughter, Kimberly Ann Williams. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Helen Hernandez, His daughter Debra Garcia and her son, Randy Garcia, Daughter Bonnie Hernandez and her children; Derrek Sain, Kendyn Sain, and Tristan Taylor, one son-in-law, Steve Williams, and his children; Bill Williams and his wife Kayla, their children, Timothy and Nickolas Williams, daughter-in-law, Cari Hernandez and her children, Dustin and Casi Hernandez.
