Bobby Mitchusson

Bobby ""Mitch"" Mitchusson 72 of Amarillo died Tuesday June 19, 2007 at his home. Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday at Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel with Ty Jones, pastor of the Cowboy Church and Arena of Life officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 8310 S. Coulter St. Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Mitchusson was born in Hughes, Ark. He moved to Amarillo in 1955 From Forest City, Ark. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955-1959. Mr. Mitchusson worked for the U.S. Postal Service for more than 30 years. He retired in 1989 as a clerk supervisor. After his retirement from the post office, Mitch worked at the Amarillo Globe News in the mail room. He married Reba Hayhurst on April 20, 1957 at Amarillo. He was a member of the Cowboy Church and the Arena of Life. Survivors include: his wife of the home, 2 daughters; Debbie Rickard and her husband John and D'Lynn McDonough and her husband Walt all of Amarillo, 2 sisters; Carolyn Burkdoll of Ava, MO and Donna Eide of Phoenix, AZ, 1 brother; Bill Kirk of Sikeston, MO, 3 grandchildren; Kara McDonough, Alicia Clark and her husband Brandon and Bobbi Rickard all of Amarillo, 1 great-grandson; Keyen Clark of Amarillo and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM 7:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cowboy Church and Arena of Life, Youth Building Fund.
