Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 South Osage St. Bobby was born on February 17, 1938 to Charlie and Lenni Ray in Quanah, and was also raised by his stepmother, Margaret Ray. He was a diesel mechanic for Grand Battery for 15 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, and working on motorcycles. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother; a sister, Geraldine Ray Hulett; and a stepbrother, Marshall Dale Golden. Survivors include 2 sons, Bobby Joe Ray Jr. of Torrington, WY, and Chris Ray of Amarillo; 2 daughters, Melissa Jo Rogers and husband Mike of Plainview, and Michelle Ray Aylesworth of Irving; a sister, Betty Ray Hawthorne and husband Harold of Killeen; 5 brothers, Harold Ray and wife Sandy of Childress, Kenneth Ray and wife Johnnie of Pampa, Charles Dwight Ray and wife Mary Jane of Dumas, Mike Ray and wife Marsha of Dumas, and Keith Ray and wife Maxine of Amarillo; 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
