Bobby Shackelford

Bobby Shackelford, 68 of Amarillo died Wednesday, March 5, 2014 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 11:00 am Monday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Glen Switzer, pastor of Lamont Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. Military honors will be rendered by the DAV Chapter #26. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Bobby was born in San Bernadino, CA. He served in the Army during Vietnam. He completed two tours of duty overseas. He worked as a truck driver for Coffman Trucking. Bobby had a great since of humor and was very quick witted. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing and building model cars and trucks. He was very fond of his dog, Podunk. He is survived by his son Trevis Shackelford and his wife Tonya of Amarillo; 4 grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua, Jonathan and Aaron; 2 sisters, Dorothy Tabor and Susie Hood both of Amarillo, one brother Jesse Shackelford of Amarillo and 4 grandchildren. The family suggests memorial donations to the Wounded Warrior Project.
