Bobby Gene Tucker, 72, of Spearman passed away on February 23, 2014 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be held Thursday, February 27th at 1:00pm at the Church of Christ in Spearman, with Jimmy Green officiating. Cremation was by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Bobby was born in Olney, TX on May 12, 1941 to Carl and Pearl Tucker. Bobby served in the US Army from 1966 to 1969. After being honorably discharged, Bobby moved to Spearman, where he worked for various farms and ranches. He worked for Speartex Grain for more than 20 years. His quick wit was a source of entertainment to all of those around him in which he will be remembered by most. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Albert Tucker, Buck Tucker, Cecil Tucker, Millard Tucker and Wilburn Tucker; and four sisters, Betty Resech, Mildred Sloss, Ruth Shelton and Violet Hornsby. He is survived by a sister, Sue Sloan and life-long boyfriend Bob Stultz of Canyon; a son, William Tucker of Amarillo; a daughter, Sheila Tucker and boyfriend Darron Wright of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Daniel Weaver, Kristin Tucker, and Brenton Tucker of Amarillo; and many special nephews, nieces and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Spearman Church of Christ or Olivia's Angels in care of the Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center.
