Bonnie Louise Mercier

Bonnie Louise Mercier, 65, of Amarillo died Monday, December 20, 2021. The funeral service is at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 29 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel officiated by David Gadberry. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home. The family will receive guests Monday and Tuesday 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Bonnie was born January 24, 1956, in Detroit, MI. to Laurence and Arline Head. She spent most of her life in Warren, Mi. moving to Amarillo in 2015. She never met a stranger; she was very outgoing and enjoyed making people laugh. Bonnie had a very giving heart and was always willing to help. She was a God-fearing woman. She loved serving in the church, inspiring the youth in the childrens ministries. She also loved to go bowling. Bonnie worked as a hairdresser for 40years, working at JC Penney, Studio 9, and Meijer. She loved her clients. She loved to spoil her grandchildren. they meant the world to her. Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, and one brother, Laurence Head. She is survived by her mother, three daughters; Kimberly Glenn and her husband Stephen, Kristen Henry and her husband Joshua, Lauren Rutkowski and her husband Shane, one son, Douglas Mercier Jr. and his wife Stefanie, 14 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, two sisters; Cynthia Hesse and her husband Kenneth, Cheryl Didia and her husband Greg, and one brother, Jeffery Head.
