Brenda Sue Gauna

December 27, 1950 — July 6, 2018

Brenda (Farner) Gauna, 67, of Amarillo, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, July 6, 2018. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 10:00am, at Llano Cemetery East, Field of Valor, Pastor Winston Curtis of Bolton St. Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm Monday, July 9, 2018 at Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S Osage. Brenda was born in Kansas City, MO, December 27, 1950, to Dave and June Farner. Brenda was the oldest of three children. Graduated from Caprock High School and Amarillo College. She worked for First National Bank for over 20 years and for Amarillo National Bank for over 10 yrs. She was a member of Bolton Street Baptist Church, very active in her Sunday School Class and Choir before her health declined. She loved to sing for the Lord and was an avid squirrel figurine collector. Brenda spent a large part of her time with Jan Werner Day Care, when asked what her name was, she would reply with a sweet eye wink and big smile and say "Trouble", but most people call me Brenda. She had never met a stranger, loved being where the Lord could use her the most. Brenda recently moved to Sky West Assisted Living and enjoyed her short time spent there. Her spunkiness will be missed by all. Brenda is preceded in death by her father, Dave Farner and a very special nephew Chad Farner. She is survived by her mother, June Farner, of Amarillo, two brothers, Rick Farner and wife Rhonda from Lubbock, Tx., Randy Farner and wife Deb, a niece, Brenda Anglin and husband Kris, Great Nieces, Cali and Caitlyn Farner, Amree and Lilee Anglin, two great nephews, Kristopher and Daniel Anglin, all of Amarillo. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Bolton St. Baptist Church Building Fund, 2555 S. Bolton St, Amarillo, Texas 79103.
