Brian Chavez

Brian Nicholas Chavez of Amarillo TX, born July 24, 1978, passed away August 2, 2022, at home with his family by his side. He grew up in Tucumcari NM. He was preceded in death by his dad Ronald Chavez. Brian is survived by Kendra his wife of 19 years, his sons Zachary McElroy, Isaac and Moses Chavez, & stepson Ethan Truelock, his mom Consuelo Chavez, his sister Tiffany Chavez, brother-in-law Felix Apodaca, nephew Jared & niece Mariah. Brian was employed at Xcel Energy for the past eleven years where special friendships were made, and those friends became family. Brian was selfless always going above and beyond to ensure his family was well taken care of. He enjoyed riding Harleys, loved classic trucks, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Rector Funeral Home 2800 S Osage Amarillo TX.
