Bruce F. Cole

Bruce F. Cole 74 of Amarillo passed from this life on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, following a lengthy illness. At Bruces request, no services are planned. Cremation and arrangements were by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Bruce was born on March 16, 1944 in Washington, DC to Fred L. and Roberta J. (Stinson) Cole. He graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1962 where he played football and was known as "Bulldog". Bruce received a BBA from West Texas A&M. He also served seven years in the Texas National Guard. He was a multi-talented master craftsman. Bruce worked in building construction and as sales rep for various independent manufacturers suppliers. He also did home improvements. He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepson, Daryl Bennett. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Glenda; one brother David Cole and wife Barbara of Lake Forest CA; two sisters Jeanie Grant and husband Lawson of Salado and Margaret Cole of Mesa, AZ, two stepdaughters Deborah Lynch and husband Greg of Montana and Cari Rowland and husband Dale of Amarillo; several nieces and nephews. Bruce loved his family and his many lifelong friends. He will be greatly missed.
