Byron Forbes

Byron Forbes, 65, of Amarillo died Tues. Jan. 14, 2020. Service is 10 am Thursday January 16 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel officiated by Rick Wyatt. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery following the service. Byron was born July 27, 1954 in Amarillo to Helen and William Forbes. He was a genuine person. He enjoyed the little things in life. Byron liked to listen to music, anything electronic, and cars. Byron had a big heart. He loved to attend his Step sons Functions, take them camping, and video tape Christmas with his nieces and nephews. Byron's family meant the world to him and he was very proud of them. He enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys play football, Scifi shows like Star Wars movies and Star Trek TV shows. His true love was his fiance Brenda Barclay. The two met when Byron worked at Kmart. He took her to lunch every day. Byron was preceded in death by his parents. He his survived by his fiance, two step sons; Jason and Nathan Barclay, his sister Gail Buchanan and her husband Gene, two nieces, two nephews and two step grandchildren.
