Carl David Arganbright

February 11, 1952 — April 20, 2024

Carl David Arganbright, a cherished brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas, at the age of 72. Born on February 11, 1952, in Wheeler, Texas, to the late Narville and Mazie (Bean) Arganbright, Carl was a man of integrity, warmth, and skill, whose presence enriched the lives of all who knew him.

Carl grew up in Wheeler, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed a love for the Texan way of life. He attended Wheeler High School, he furthered his education at DeVry University Dallas, earning an associate degree that would serve him well in his professional endeavors.

For many years, Carl dedicated his time and talents to McGarraugh Brothers Farms and later to Willett, Code Jet, from where he retired in 2010. His work ethic and reliability made him a valued employee and a trusted colleague. Carl's contributions to his workplace were matched by his involvement in his community, where he was a respected member of Southlawn Baptist Church.

Carl's interests reflected his personality. He had a passion for reading Western books and watching Western shows, often sharing his favorite stories and moments with friends and family. His love for mechanics was not just a hobby but a testament to his ability to understand and fix anything that came his way. Carl's hands were rarely still, as he found joy in working on vehicles and helping others with their mechanical needs.

Those who knew Carl would describe him as loving, generous, and handy. His kindness extended beyond his immediate circle, as he was always ready to support and uplift those around him. Carl's legacy is carried on by his surviving brother, Glen Arganbright and wife Pam, and his many Arganbright nieces and nephews who looked up to him as a role model and mentor.

Carl's life was further enriched by his special friend, Catherine Burns, and her children, whom he cherished as his own. His special godchildren, Qualisha Burns, Shantellie Burns, and Shantelle & Jason Peterson, held a dear place in his heart, as did his 15 great-Godchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride.

Preceding Carl in death were his parents, Narville and Mazie Arganbright, and his siblings, Alvin, Jim, Mark, Bill, Beth, and Laneta Arganbright. The memories they shared and the love they fostered continue to be celebrated by those who remain.

Carl's life was a testament to the power of kindness, the value of hard work, and the importance of family. His gentle spirit and generous nature left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. As we bid farewell to Carl David Arganbright, we do so with gratitude for the time we shared with him and the lessons he taught us through his example.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Carl will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and service will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him. As the sun sets on his time with us, we take comfort in knowing that Carl's journey was one of purpose, joy, and an abundance of love.
